Nasolaryngoscopy

Nasolaryngoscopy is an examination of the inside of the nose, throat and larynx utilizing a special instrument called nasolaryngoscope. The test is performed at the clinic after numbing the mucosa with spray anesthetic. Indications for the procedure are chronice hoarseness, chronic acid reflux laryngitis, chronic sinusitis, chronic serous otitis medica or middle ear infection, ear pain, suspected malignancy, chronic cough, chronic nasal obstruction, runny nose, some throat pain, halitosis which is smell of the breath, history of previous head and neck cancer, laryngeal polyps, neck masses, recurrent nosebleeds, problems with swallowing, evaluation of snoring, foreign body sensation in the throat and vocal cord problems.
